Construction for The Perigon Miami Beach began in April 2024, with completion anticipated in 2027. This iconic project is a collaboration between Miami-based real estate development group Mast Capital and a controlled affiliate of Starwood Capital Group, a globally renowned private investment firm led by Barry Sternlicht. General contractor Moss Construction is spearheading the project, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.

New developments are popping up everywhere throughout Miami but one of the most opulent new construction towers in Miami Beach stands out from the crowd with the unveiling of its new penthouse at The Perigon.

Penthouse West is a $37 million residence situated over two levels and is the first penthouse to be unveiled at the new condominium project. Four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and expansive living areas are housed in 5,685 square feet of inside space, while an outside sanctuary is made up of an additional 6,487 square feet. The residence, positioned atop the contemporary 17-story tower, also offers magnificent views of the beach, the Atlantic Ocean, and the developing Miami cityscape.

Designer Tara Bernerd, renowned for her ultra-luxury work on single-family houses, yachts, and condo buildings, created the interiors of the building, including the penthouse. She used organic fabrics that go well with the stone, wood, and glass components as well as high-end finishes throughout the entire building.

The 22-foot ceilings in the double-height great room, one of the home’s many remarkable design features and amenities, steal the show. This space, which leads to a wraparound terrace, serves as the residence’s focal point. Here, Bernerd employed materials including Italian walnut, European white oak, and honed white marble with a subdued color scheme. With its high-end highlights and designer touches for occupants who are decor-conscious, the light-filled penthouse has the air of a five-star resort. Additionally, each room has a private terrace area and an en suite bathroom with a luxurious soaking tub.

Penthouse West is known for its indoor-outdoor lifestyle, and in addition to the various outside terraces, there is also a private, manicured rooftop. The landscapes featured in the facilities of the property and the garden in the penthouse were both designed by Gustafson Porter + Bowman, the same company in charge of the landscaping around the Eiffel Tower. The house also boasts a sundeck, a sunken 30-foot infinity pool, a full outdoor summer kitchen, and outdoor dining.

More than 20,000 square feet of amenity space are available to residents of The Perigon, including a breakfast and sunset lounge, a residents-only private restaurant, and a speakeasy run by chef Shaun Hergatt, a veteran of Michelin-starred establishments. The Perigon Miami Beach announces Shaun Hergatt, a Michelin-starred chef, as the creator of Miami Beach’s first-ever resident-only concept.

Nota will be Hergatt’s first-ever Mediterranean concept, while Fifty Three, a speakeasy cocktail lounge, will have a complementary bold style. Hergatt is the renowned executive chef and owner behind some of New York’s most famous Michelin-starred restaurants, including the private restaurant at 432 Park Avenue and Vestry in Soho.

CEO of Mast Capital (the developer behind The Perigon) stated, “We are designing more than a condominium at The Perigon, it is a private, highly serviced five-star resort exclusively for the owners. Additionally, our partnership with such a notable chef as Shaun Hergatt further solidifies the commitment to the quality of luxury, The Perigon will offer to its residents.”

The focus of the restaurant showcases a clear and crisp palette, making the most of the coastal environment and abundance of rich, local ingredients. Chef Hergatt intends to use woodfire grilling techniques to produce meals that are elegant but approachable, with seafood serving as the menu’s focal point.

The speakeasy portion of the restaurant will experiment with vivid colors and patterns, embracing a whiskey-themed palate. Deeper browns and greens will establish a more intimate mood, incorporating golden fixtures and accessories creating the perfect nighttime setting. In June 2021, Mast filed the development plans for the property and the official approval came in December 2021. Rem Koolhaas is named as the architect for the project while Tara Bernerd is listed as the interior designer. The design resembles a series of towers merged together allowing the residents optimal views of Biscayne Bay, the Miami skyline, and the Atlantic Ocean
