The Crosby Miami Worldcenter Construction Update

The Crosby Miami Worldcenter Ground Level

The 33-story Crosby Miami Worldcenter has reached a significant milestone, topping off according to Beauchamp Construction Co. This achievement marks the completion of the building’s structural framework, and a celebration was held on July 19th to commemorate this event.

The journey of the Crosby Miami Worldcenter began with its groundbreaking in January 2023. Now standing tall at a permanent height of 390 feet, this impressive tower is set to become a prominent feature of Miami’s skyline. The building boasts a variety of features that promise to enhance the living experience for its residents:

  • 450 Condo Units: These units are designed to allow short-term rentals, providing flexibility and potential income for owners.
  • 22,000+ Square Feet of Amenities: The extensive amenities include a range of recreational and leisure facilities to cater to the needs of residents.
  • Rooftop Bar and Restaurant: Offering stunning views of the city, the rooftop bar and restaurant are set to become popular spots for both residents and visitors.
  • 3,370 Square Feet of Retail Space: This retail space will add to the convenience of residents, providing easy access to various shops and services.

In a testament to its appeal, all units in the Crosby have already been sold. This rapid sell-out highlights the high demand for luxury living spaces in prime locations within Miami.

Despite the absence of a new parking garage within the building, residents of the Crosby will have access to parking facilities elsewhere in the Worldcenter. This arrangement ensures that convenience and accessibility remain top priorities for those living in the tower.

The topping off of the Crosby Miami Worldcenter marks a significant step in its development, bringing it closer to its final completion. With its array of amenities, strategic location, and luxurious living spaces, the Crosby is set to become a sought-after residence in Miami. As the building continues to take shape, it promises to deliver an exceptional living experience in the heart of the city.

Financing Secured for The Crosby Miami Worldcenter

The Crosby Miami Worldcenter Lobby

The vertical construction of The Crosby Miami Worldcenter, which is positioned to provide further density to the existing buildings at Miami Worldcenter, has been successfully funded with a sizeable $94.2 million by The Related Group and Merrimac Ventures. According to building permits submitted to the FAA in January, the residential tower is planned to rise 33 floors high and is anticipated to reach its peak at about 377 feet above ground, or 390 feet above sea level.

The loan was given to DT G Block LLC, a joint venture organization connected to the developers, by the Arkansas-based Bank OZK. The project’s interior design and architectural design are being handled by AVRO|KO and Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates.

The Crosby Miami Worldcenter, which commenced work earlier this year, is planned to have 3,370 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 450 completely furnished, ready-to-rent condos.

The Crosby’s construction should advance more quickly now that the finance is secured. It will stand out for its remarkable architectural design, which embodies contemporary luxury. The tower’s sleek design, which is accentuated by modern finishes, is made to blend perfectly with Miami’s dynamic cityscape.

The Crosby is cleverly constructed to take full advantage of its location, with the lower floors laying out a sizable retail area that is open to the public. The amenities offered by the skyscraper are designed to fit a contemporary urban lifestyle. The Crosby residences’ allowance for completely furnished units to be posted for short-term rentals on websites like Airbnb represents an important trend in the Miami condo market and is a standout feature of the development.

Beauchamp Construction serves as the general contractor and according to the current schedule, The Crosby is expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2025.

Miami Worldcenter Land Purchased for $30 Million

Co-Owner of E11even Nightclub and Partner at Titan Capital Acquired Land at Miami Worldcenter

Miami Worldcenter Land Purchased for $30 Million

For $30 million, Lynd Living acquired a Miami Worldcenter development site from a business run by Marc Roberts, co-owner of the E11even nightclub, and Ira Saferstein, a partner at Titan Capital.

The $4 billion master-planned mixed-use project spanning 27 acres in the Park West neighborhood of downtown Miami has added the San Antonio-based company as the newest multifamily developer to the group of apartment builders.

According to public documents, a Lynd associate purchased the roughly 0.5-acre parcel of land at Northwest 10th Street and North Miami Avenue and secured a $22.7 million financing through TIG Romspen US Master Mortgage. According to a news statement, Kevin O’Grady and Justin Neelis from Concord Summit Capital handled the finance and Lynd has hired the company to find a construction loan. Additionally, Concord Summit mediated the sale.

IRR Parkwest Investments, led by Roberts and Saferstein, was sold by the Miami-based legal firm Adams Gallinar, which was represented by attorneys Michael Gallinar and Jason Camps.

A 650-unit apartment building is permitted on the site of the development. A residential tower is being planned, according to David Lynd, CEO of Lynd. “For the time being, we are keeping it quiet. We’ll release more information as we prepare to enter the market.

According to records, the vacant property was a component of a 1-acre assemblage that IRR purchased in 2020 for $26.7 million. The remaining property is still owned by Roberts and Saferstein. Roberts, a former boxing promoter, joined master developers Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani as an early investor in the Miami Worldcenter project in the early 2000s.

In March, the Miami Worldcenter development property at 1016 Northeast Second Avenue was purchased for $40.5 million by the New York-based Naftali Group and Chicago-based Akara Partners. The CEO of Naftali, Miki Naftali, is constructing two residential towers, but the company hasn’t said whether the structures would house condos or apartments.

Adam Neumann, a co-founder of WeWork, received $108 million in construction financing in February for a new apartment building on a bare lot at Miami Worldcenter. It shares a boundary with Caoba, a 40-story apartment complex at 698 Northeast First Avenue. Both the development site and Caoba’s ownership organization were purchased by Neumann.
