The long list of tenants at Miami Worldcenter, a $6 billion, 27-acre mixed-use complex remaking the center of Downtown Miami, will grow by four national food and beverage concepts.

A dual-concept location for BurgerFi and Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza & Wings has been signed by the development’s ownership group, as well as leases with Serafina, an internationally renowned Italian restaurant group founded in New York City; Sixty Vines, a sustainable restaurant with an exciting wine-on-tap program and food inspired by vineyards.

New developments are popping up everywhere throughout Miami but one of the most opulent new construction towers in Miami Beach stands out from the crowd with the unveiling of its new penthouse at The Perigon.

Penthouse West is a $37 million residence situated over two levels and is the first penthouse to be unveiled at the new condominium project. Four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and expansive living areas are housed in 5,685 square feet of inside space, while an outside sanctuary is made up of an additional 6,487 square feet. The residence, positioned atop the contemporary 17-story tower, also offers magnificent views of the beach, the Atlantic Ocean, and the developing Miami cityscape.

Designer Tara Bernerd, renowned for her ultra-luxury work on single-family houses, yachts, and condo buildings, created the interiors of the building, including the penthouse. She used organic fabrics that go well with the stone, wood, and glass components as well as high-end finishes throughout the entire building.

The 22-foot ceilings in the double-height great room, one of the home’s many remarkable design features and amenities, steal the show. One River Point Receives FAA Height Approval

The Federal Aviation Administration has given its certification for the One River Point towers in downtown Miami. The FAA allowed the towers to rise to a height of 788 feet above ground, or 797 feet above sea level, in a letter that was sent out on January 16.

The same property received FAA approval in 2014 for a construction height of 928 feet above ground (that approval expired in September 2018). The FAA then gave the towers additional certification in 2019.

Developers Edgardo Defortuna of Fortune International Group and Shahab Karmely of KAR Properties announced their collaboration to construct the buildings in November 2022.

The original developing company sold the property to the new partnership for $58.85 million.

According to records, Bank OZK gave the developers a $38 million loan for the 1.8-acre site at 24 Southwest Fourth Street in Miami. According to Defortuna, the loan is a line of credit to be utilized for the 386-unit luxury condominium’s development, sales, and marketing. After the unit plans are completed, sales should begin this year.

The developers will make a few changes while maintaining Rafael Violy’s original concept. An 85-foot waterfall, a three-story glass skybridge that floats in midair, and an exclusive members-only Adrian Zecha “Sky Club” on the 55th level with two restaurants, a cigar lounge, a wine cellar, and a screening room were all originally planned.

Aman Miami Beach Development Receives $242.4 Million Construction Loan

Bank OZK has approved a $242.4 million construction loan for the oceanfront Aman Miami Beach development. Doronin’s OKO Group and Blavatnik’s Access Industries are collaborating on the two-building luxury hotel and condo project at 3425 Collins Avenue.

Bank OZK’s latest round of financing supplements a $34.8 million loan it provided the developers in May 2020.

Doronin is the owner of Aman, a luxury hotel chain that is branding the project. Aman Miami Beach will include the restoration and renovation of the site’s 16-story historic Versailles tower, as well as the construction of a new 18-story ground-up condo building. The plan is for a 56-room hotel and 22 luxury condos.

The developer wants to make changes to the lobby of the Versailles, which was designed by Roy France and completed in 1941. The amendments will be voted on by the Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board next week.

The development of the surrounding Faena District, which includes Faena House, Faena Forum, and Faena Hotel, was supported by Blavatnik.

Dustin Stolly and Jordan Roeschlaub of Newmark arranged the loan for the Aman project, which is expected to be completed in 2024. The condo component has been fully pre-sold.

“Bad friends, Good Drinks & Expensive Taste,” that’s the Moto for Wynwood newest spot Burdo. Opened just north of Cerveceria La Tropical on North Miami Avenue, Burdo has a 2,700-square-foot dining room and a 4,000-square-foot outdoor terrace that, like so many other new Miami hot places, morphs from restaurant to late-night party location after dark.

The concept was developed by SinMente Group, a Colombian hospitality company that established a comparable venue in Medellin in 2014. Burdo was brought to Miami by SinMente in collaboration with Buenavista Investment Group. Burdo’s main menu features American fare such as bowls, pizzas, and burgers, as well as sushi rolls.

Green apple and cheese pizza ($20) with blue cheese, mozzarella, bocconcini, green apples in maple syrup, almonds, basil, and spinach; truffle grilled cauliflower ($20); and “Black Wings” ($28) with sesame seeds, chives, and black barbeque sauce are among the highlights.

However, that isn’t the only food available on the premises. Criminal Taqueria at Burdo is located on Burdo’s patio. Tacos aren’t illegal, so don’t be alarmed. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, esquites, and elote bowls are served at the taqueria, which has a few chairs but is mostly meant for grab-and-go purchases. It has its own separate kitchen and serves tacos, burritos, quesadillas, esquites, and elote bowls.

The design of Burdo is just as exquisite as the menu! Mixing a modern yet reclaimed design makes for an inviting atmosphere. A white marble surfaced bar adorns the bar and tabletops with outdoor inspired wood chairs. Mixing with green vegetation, wood paneled walls, and black steel touches creates a unique look that will be an excellent side to your food.

Prices range from $4 to $13 per pound. At the taqueria, you can order a margarita or Michelada, or try Burdo’s more extensive cocktail menu, which includes mezcal-based drinks like La Parca and El Chingon, as well as specialty gin cocktails. Bottle service is provided after dark, when the high-tech sound and lighting systems come on.

Burdo is located at 2509 North Miami Avenue in Wynwood and they are opened from Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm to 3am. Don’t forget happy hour is from 5pm to 8pm.
