Opened in December 2024, The Window at The Joyce brings elevated American street fare to the heart of Miami Beach. Chef James Taylor, who spent three years perfecting his burger recipe, delivers a menu that includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, fried fish sandwiches, wings, chopped salads, and milkshakes.

Each dish is a testament to Taylor’s commitment to flavor and quality. His burgers, cooked on a hot griddle for a juicy, well-balanced bite, stand out as a must-try. Featuring a walk-up window and cozy outdoor patio seating, The Window offers a casual yet elevated dining experience.

Set to open on January 10th, 2025, The Joyce combines the sophistication of a modern steakhouse with the allure of a Prohibition-era speakeasy. The intimate 45-seat restaurant will serve a menu curated to delight the most discerning palates. Signature dishes include Caviar & Latkes, King Crab Scampi, Local Snapper Fillet Sandwich, and an internationally-sourced selection of steaks, alongside The Window’s famed burger.

Complementing the cuisine, the cocktail program will be crafted by a master mixologist from Japan, and the wine list will feature over 100 meticulously selected labels curated by a leading sommelier.

The ambiance at The Joyce is equally captivating. Designed with a sophisticated aesthetic, the restaurant features collectible furniture, including iconic Gio Ponti dining chairs and Joe Colombo bar stools. Tucked behind dark green drapery, the space combines dim lighting, custom walnut millwork, and a rotating display of artwork from Andre Sakhai’s private collection, featuring works by Picasso, Basquiat, and emerging artists.

Andre Sakhai, a key patron of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, envisions The Joyce as a space where fine dining meets fine art. “With The Joyce and The Window, we’re bringing Miami Beach something rare: exceptional food crafted with high-caliber ingredients and meticulous technique, all at an accessible price point,” says Sakhai.

Sant Ambroeus to Open First Miami Location in Late 2025

The luxurious Italian restaurant and coffee bar, Sant Ambroeus, is set to open its first Miami location at the Fifth Miami Beach in late 2025. Known for its contemporary take on Milanese cuisine, the restaurant will occupy over 7,000 square feet at the base of the new Class A+ office building in the South of Fifth neighborhood.

Founded in Milan in 1936, Sant Ambroeus has built a reputation for excellence, growing to half a dozen locations across the United States. These include popular spots in New York City, Southampton, East Hampton, Palm Beach, and Aspen. The restaurant’s menu is celebrated for an array of exquisite dishes such as Linguine alle Vongole (linguine with Manila clams), Eggplant Parmigiana, and Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce.

The Miami location of Sant Ambroeus will be designed by Giampiero Tagliaferri, renowned for his work with Oliver Peoples, Brunello Cucinelli, and Minotti. Tagliaferri’s design will bring a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere to the restaurant, which will be situated at the base of the Fifth Miami Beach. This new commercial office building, the first in Miami’s South of Fifth neighborhood in 22 years, is a collaborative project by developers Sumaida + Khurana and Bizzi + Bilgili.

The Fifth Miami Beach, featuring architecture by Alberto Campo Baeza and interiors by Gabellini Sheppard Associates, promises a nature-inspired design with 14-foot office ceilings, wraparound terraces, a marble lobby, and a rooftop with stunning ocean views. This 7,000-square-foot restaurant and coffee bar will be a central feature of this elegant space, adding to the allure of the building.

Sant Ambroeus is slated to open in the latter part of 2025 at 950 5th Street in Miami Beach. Casa Neos, the sister restaurant of Mila in South Beach and Ava in Winter Park, is opening along the Miami River on Wednesday, June 26, by Chef Michaël Michaelidis, a chef with 26 Michelin stars of experience. The two-story restaurant plans on taking its guests through a “journey of the Mediterranean” with its cuisine, decor, and atmosphere inspired by the Aegean Islands.

Founded by the Miami-based hospitality group Riviera Dining Group, the restaurant is a multi-purpose space, meaning it is also part boutique hotel (the very first for the hospitality group) and part members-only club. Casa Neos will be one of two restaurants located within the space — Noora, a Moroccan and North African rooftop restaurant and lounge, will open in the fall of 2024.

Led by Chef Michaelidis, who is head of culinary at Riviera Dining Group, every dish at Casa Neos will reflect dishes typically served along the Mediterranean. “Throughout all Casa Neos offerings, seasonal flavors meet modern techniques, complemented with my knowledge of traditional French flavors and techniques,” explains Chef Michaelidis.

Open for lunch, dinner, and brunch during the weekend, Casa Neos’ Mediterranean-inspired menu will feature fresh fish, a selection of prime meat offerings, and house-made bread in wood-fired ovens. “I’m honored to be a part of a new chapter in Miami’s culinary scene,” says Chef Michaelidis. “From the authentic and fresh ingredients of Casa Neos Restaurant to the rich, aromatic notes of Noora, Casa Neos promises a fully immersive experience for all the senses.”

Chef Michaelidis joined Riviera Dining Group after 12 years of working with the Robuchon Group, where he earned seven Michelin stars, for a total of 26 Michelin stars spanning his career in Cannes, Monaco, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo.

Aesthetically designed by architectural designer Lazaro Rosa Violan, Casa Neos is inspired by his travels from the shores of Greece to Morocco, and each detail reflects the rich cultural influences of these regions. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by natural design elements and wooden pieces of furniture, which complement the greenery and boho tones of the restaurant’s interior.

The interiors celebrate the rich variety of Mediterranean cultures with stone and stucco walls, ensuring a cool respite from the warm Miami sun. Plus, natural fabrics such as cotton, jute, and linen fill the dining room and bar areas, allowing breezes to flood the dining areas, and hand-painted ceramics adorn the walls. Staying true to the restaurant’s roots, Moroccan rugs and Zellige tile fill the floors of the restaurant, with each fabric sourced from Turkey, Spain, or France. Plus, the leathers are all hand-braided.

The prestigious Miami Beach condominium 72 Park will now house the New York pizzeria, Roberta’s, a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant from co-founders Carlo Mirarchi and Brandon Hoy.

Roberta’s was founded in 2008 and initially operated out of a small Brooklyn cinder-block warehouse. The eatery swiftly rose to fame in the neighborhood and won over foodies from all over the state with its extensive menu of handmade plates and seasonal dishes made with fresh, organic produce from its rooftop garden as well as ingredients from around the world.

The developers, Leffersts, decided to open a few additional sites in New York City as a result of the success. Since then, the brand has grown internationally with a range of locations, from full-service dining to more informal concepts. Carlo Mirarchi, co-founder and chef of Roberta’s, expressed his excitement about bringing his restaurant to the thriving metropolis of Miami. “We are very excited to introduce Roberta’s to the vibrant city of Miami. The energy and diversity of Miami’s food scene resonates deeply with our commitment to providing fun and memorable dining experiences for our guests. With its rich cultural tapestry, Miami
provides the perfect canvas and 72 Park the perfect home for Roberta’s first step into the Florida market.”

Roberta’s team will bring some of their well-known style along with the restaurant. Brandon Hoy, a co-founder of Roberta, continued, “We love the neighborhood. And I can’t wait to add some Brooklyn charm to the city’s culinary scene in addition to serving this neighborhood.” 

Roberta’s will be located at 580 72nd Street and will encircle the northwest corner of 72 Park. Of the roughly 10,000 square feet of prime ground-floor retail space at 72 Park, the restaurant will take up 3,000 square feet. The 22-story tower is expected to be finished in the summer of 2024 and will provide opulent units with sizes ranging from 410 to 2,200 square feet and beginning prices of $700,000.

Chef Michael Beltran to Open 2 New Restaurants at CocoWalk

The hospitality company led by chef Michael Beltran, who already owns the Michelin-starred Ariete in Coconut Grove, will debut two restaurants inside the CocoWalk complex.

In the upcoming weeks, Ariete Hospitality Group intends to open the full-service Mediterranean restaurant Eva as well as The Oyster Bar, a speakeasy-style oyster and cocktail bar. The tiny Oyster Bar, which Beltran describes as the “perfect after-work spot,” is the first establishment to open. It offers raw bar staples and small meals.

The restaurant’s 4,100 square foot interior contains an oyster bar with solid wood benches, tables, and chairs as well as a main bar with a marble top. There is also a patio where you can eat outside.

Although there are only nine seats available, the beverage menu will be spectacular and extensive. By the end of September, the bar inside Eva is scheduled to open. A few weeks later, the more conventional Eva will debut, offering brunch in addition to happy hour and lunch and dinner.

Both inside and outside, Eva will have space for up to 139 customers. Beltran, whose hospitality group is also in charge of the Michelin-recommended Brasserie Laurel at Miami Worldcenter and The Gibson Room on Coral Way, said that he views Eva as an “any occasion” restaurant, suitable for family dinners, business lunches, or nights out with friends. It may be more laid-back than his well-known Ariete.

The restaurant should be really welcoming, and entertaining, and provide the degree of service and elegance that customers expect and deserve/ Chef Michael Beltran’s Ariete Hospitality Group’s cozy oyster bar will feature traditional raw bar fare and drinks. Miami’s Little River neighborhood is home to the city’s newest indoor and outdoor weekend venue ZeyZey, which is hidden behind a modest wood gate and a large banyan tree.

DJs will perform in a bungalow with white walls with a vinyl listening area with more than 3,000 albums is also located in the spacious outdoor space with a stage for live events and shaded by a massive banyan tree.

In addition to three private lounge sections, there are four food vendors. ZeyZey is the brainchild of Grassfed Culture Hospitality, the same group that brought you the Michelin-starred Los Felix and Krus Kitchen restaurants from Chef Sebastian Vargas. ZeyZey is named for the word “happiness” in the Iku language, which is used by an indigenous community in the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, Colombia.

The main attraction at ZeyZey in Little River is a banyan tree. Vashti Diaz Due to a collaboration between Isabella Acker of Miami-based Tigre Sounds, an independent record label and music platform, and the venue, which will be open on Friday and Saturday nights, local artists and DJs will perform there. According to Acker, the music will be diverse. Be prepared for Brazilian disco, salsa, cumbia, Afro-Cuban funk, electronic fusion, and more.

Additionally, ZeyZey will have a recurring roster of culinary vendors. The Maiz Project arepas, Gutenburg’s German-American burgers, Dale Street Food’s modern Cuban food, and Mana Table’s seasonal menu of ceviche, skewers, cold noodles, and arepas were among the exhibitors at the event’s debut weekend.The location is what Pili Restrepo Hackler, co-founder and creative director of Grassfed Culture Hospitality, refers to as “our love letter to Miami.

The Perigon Miami Beach announces Shaun Hergatt, a Michelin-starred chef, as the creator of Miami Beach’s first-ever resident-only concept.

Nota will be Hergatt’s first-ever Mediterranean concept, while Fifty Three, a speakeasy cocktail lounge, will have a complementary bold style. Hergatt is the renowned executive chef and owner behind some of New York’s most famous Michelin-starred restaurants, including the private restaurant at 432 Park Avenue and Vestry in Soho.

CEO of Mast Capital (the developer behind The Perigon) stated, “We are designing more than a condominium at The Perigon, it is a private, highly serviced five-star resort exclusively for the owners. Additionally, our partnership with such a notable chef as Shaun Hergatt further solidifies the commitment to the quality of luxury, The Perigon will offer to its residents.”

The focus of the restaurant showcases a clear and crisp palette, making the most of the coastal environment and abundance of rich, local ingredients. Chef Hergatt intends to use woodfire grilling techniques to produce meals that are elegant but approachable, with seafood serving as the menu’s focal point.

The speakeasy portion of the restaurant will experiment with vivid colors and patterns, embracing a whiskey-themed palate. Deeper browns and greens will establish a more intimate mood, incorporating golden fixtures and accessories creating the perfect nighttime setting. The cocktails will also embody the more lighthearted style, while focusing on fresh ingredients and imaginative curations.

The Perigon

The development will rise 17 stories and feature 83 total units, with 10 of those units labeled as ‘guest suites,’ which will only be available to purchase by unit owners.
