Jeff Bezos Buys Indian Creek Island Mansion

Jeff Bezos Takes on the Magic City: Inside the Billionaire’s Move to Miami

Jeff Bezos Moves to Miami

Jeff Bezos, the trailblazing founder of Amazon and a pivotal figure in the e-commerce revolution, has announced a significant personal transition, opting to relocate to Miami, a city with deep familial ties. This move marks a return to his roots, as Bezos is an alumnus of Miami Palmetto High (’82) and has expressed a desire to be closer to his parents, who have recently moved back to the area.

Bezos’s decision also aligns with strategic shifts in his professional endeavors, particularly the increasing focus of his aerospace company, Blue Origin, on operations in Cape Canaveral. His investment in Miami real estate is substantial, with recent acquisitions on Indian Creek Island totaling over $140 million, signaling a long-term commitment to the region.

This relocation is not just a personal homecoming but also a strategic positioning within a burgeoning hub of tech and finance. Miami has recently welcomed a wave of tech industry leaders and financial magnates, including Paypal’s Peter Thiel and Citadel’s Ken Griffin, enhancing its reputation as a nexus for innovation and wealth.

For Bezos, whose net worth is estimated at $161 billion, making him the nation’s second-wealthiest individual, this move is a blend of personal nostalgia and forward-looking business strategy. His journey from a Cuban immigrant family to the pinnacle of global business underscores a remarkable American narrative of ambition and achievement.

As Bezos transitions to his new Miami base, he brings with him not only his business acumen but also a history of transformative ideas, from his early musings on space colonies to his tangible steps toward space travel with Blue Origin. His move is a testament to Miami’s allure and its rising status as a haven for the world’s elite in technology and finance.

For hedge fund managers and investors, Bezos’s relocation is a signal of Miami’s increasing importance as a financial and cultural hotspot, worthy of attention for both personal and professional considerations.

For $9.1 million, supermodel Gisele Bündchen just bought a magnificent house in Southwest Ranches. The 7.5-acre property has a guest apartment, a 9-bed, 9-bath residence with 5,183 square feet, and state-of-the-art equestrian facilities.

With a fireplace and a floating glass staircase, the home’s open-concept living area is exquisite. The master bedroom on the first level has a great walk-in closet, a separate sitting area, and a private bathroom.

The gourmet kitchen has a built-in bar, a large island with breakfast bar, integrated refrigerator and oven, and Italian Calacatta quartz worktops.

Beautiful lighting, complex pergolas, and an infinity pool with a hot tub with fountain water elements can all be found outside. There are also tennis courts, a soccer field, an infinity pool, 10 spacious horse stalls, and an outdoor kitchen with a hibachi grill, pizza oven, BBQ, and wine fridge.

In February 2022, Gisele Bündchen paid $1.25 million for a modest three-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Surfside, a community between Bal Harbour and Miami Beach.

This residence appears to be smaller among those Bündchen formerly occupied with her soon-to-be ex-husband, at only 1,540 square feet. It is still unclear whether she plans to remodel the interior of the home.

The Art Deco-style cottage, which is only a few blocks from the beach, has white walls and hardwood flooring in all of its common areas. Stainless steel appliances, white cabinets, and a marble waterfall island are all featured in an open-concept kitchen that flows into the living room with ample space for entertainment and comfort.

Two large windows line the modest primary bedroom. The main bathroom has white brick walls and farmhouse-style hardware in a rich gold color, as well as a glass-enclosed stand-alone shower. The little backyard is home to a grassy lawn and a small tiered patio.

The home of actress Sophie Turner and singer Joe Jonas in Miami’s exclusive Bay Point area recently sold for $15 million. After buying the house in 2021 for $11 million, the famous couple recruited interior designer Sarah Ivory to renovate it. The home was originally listed for $16.995 million in November of last year.

The Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired waterfront architectural marvel, which is situated in the ultra-exclusive guard-gated neighborhood of Bay Point, was first constructed in the 1980s and measures 10,414 square feet on a 15,599-square-foot lot. The mansion, which has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, has 30-foot ceilings, stone walls, and a tropical entry lobby with a floating staircase.

It has an antique Murano Venetian glass chandelier and a two-sided travertine fireplace. The dining area features hand-painted de Gournay wallpaper and another Murano glass chandelier.

The home also contains a wine room, a sauna, a gym, and a pool room with a two-story library space above it. A 94-foot private dock with direct access to the bay and ocean, a chef’s kitchen, a covert staff entry, a state-of-the-art spa, an outdoor kitchen, a dual-sided full-service bar for indoor/outdoor serving, a separate kiddie pool, and more can be found outdoors.

Ivory stated that the exterior of the house had been freshly painted, the landscaping had been updated, and lighting had been installed on the trees.

Among the famous people who have moved to Bay Point are pop artist Enrique Iglesias and his partner, former tennis champion Anna Kournikova.

Cher's Former Miami Beach Residence Hits the Market

What was once the iconic pop star, Cher’s, former Miami Beach residence, is now on the market at $42.5 million. Located at 46 La Gorce Circle, this waterfront mansion is currently owned by Canadian investor James Eaton and his wife, Cecily. Only three years ago, the couple paid $17 million for the house.

Cher originally bought the estate in 1993 for $1.5 million to use as her private residence, but she only lived there for three years before selling it to Calvin Klein co-founder Barry Schwartz for $4.4 million.

The estate offers 150 feet of Biscayne Bay frontage and sits on three-quarters of an acre. Built in 1953, the home offers six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and an indoor courtyard expanding over 12,000 square feet. The exterior space includes a 50-foot-long pool, a pool house, a hot tub, a cold plunge, and an outdoor shower.

The 77-year-old pop sensation Cher is best known for her work on hit songs like “Believe” and “If I Could Turn Back Time,” as well as for her roles in films like “Moonstruck” and as one-half of the well-known combo Sonny & Cher. Although her activity in the entertainment industry has decreased, she just introduced a gelato line.

Cher is in the process of selling some of her other real estate investments. She recently put her Malibu home—which she has owned since before her stint at La Gorce Island—on the market for $85 million last year. She paid $3 million for the site in 1989 and then built the 13,000-square-foot mansion on it, slashing the price this year to $75 million.

Lil Wayne Sells Miami Mansion

Hip Hop Legend Lil Wayne Sells Waterfront Miami Mansion on Allison Island

Lil Wayne Sells Miami Mansion

Five-time Grammy award-winner and hip-hop legend, Lil Wayne, recently sold his Miami mansion after listing the property last year for $29.5 million. Weezy sold the waterfront property on Allison Island for a price pending after a recent $1.5 million price reduction to $28 million.

The 23,760-square-foot house, which was created by the architecture company Choeff Levy Fischman, has 110 feet of water frontage, a private dock, a pool, and an outdoor kitchen. It is located on the border of Biscayne Bay. Despite being a brand-new construction, Wayne upgraded the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion.

There is also an elevator, a movie theater, a wine cellar, two family rooms, staff quarters, a chef’s kitchen, and a butler’s kitchen inside the 10,300-square-foot, two-level residence. Almost every room has floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that let in the beautiful Miami weather. The chef’s kitchen and one of the family rooms also lead to a lush, green indoor courtyard.

The expansive main suite is stunning at 2,500 square feet. There is a huge sitting area, a walk-in closet in the form of a boutique, two bathrooms, and a huge terrace that views the backyard.

Weezy originally purchased the property in 2018 for $16.8 million.

The stunning Allison island is situated in the Indian Creek canal in the La Gorce neighborhood and is regarded as a component of North Beach, a larger area of Miami. 63rd Road divides the 8.5-acre island into a North Island and a South Island.

Condos and townhomes can be found on the southern Island, also called Aqua, while only waterfront mansions with several enormous lots and ultra-modern architecture can be found on the northern Island. This neighborhood’s great demand is in part due to the fact that every single home on the Island has immediate water access to Biscayne Bay.

DJ Khaled Rents Out Miami Sneaker Closet

Major Key Alert- You Can Now Airbnb DJ Khaled’s Sneaker Closet in Miami

DJ Khaled Rents Out Miami Sneaker Closet

DJ Khaled, the hip-hop mogul, is now renting out a room on Airbnb—technically, his shoe closet. The space is known as DJ Khaled’s “ultimate sneaker kingdom” and features walls lined with some of his “most valued kicks,” including the Jordan 3 “Grateful” and Jordan 8 “Oregon PEs.”

According to the Airbnb listing Khaled states, “Sleep in my legendary sneaker collection and experience the 305 through the eyes (and shoes) of yours truly. During the stay, guests will have the chance to live and breathe Miami the same way I do – epically. I’m rolling out all the big stops.”

Even if it is a shoe closet to sleep in, there are certain advantages, including the price. DJ Khaled’s closet is only $11, when many Miami hotels may run you hundreds of dollars per night.

A special pair of We The Best Air Jordan 5s will also be given to guests, and they can “soak up the Miami vibes” in DJ Khaled’s pool. Additionally, there is an opportunity to have a catered supper from his soul cuisine restaurant The Licking in Miami Gardens.

But since it is his valued collection, there are some restrictions including, “Don’t ever play yourself.” Animals are not allowed, and visitors are not allowed to sell any Jordan Brand-branded items they may get. Visitors are also not allowed to touch any of the shoes, but they are welcome to snap plenty of pictures. The shoes, according to DJ Khaled, “are our babies” and should be treated as such.

The room, which has a private bathroom, may accommodate two guests. Bookings for two overnight stays on December 5 and 6 can be made starting November 29 at 1 p.m. ET.
